Take Action

There are many steps you can take if you’re concerned about PFAS. Educate yourself, make PFAS-free choices, let companies know you want PFAS-free products and let your elected officials know you want a toxic-free environment!

Education Leads to Advocacy

1) Learn more about PFAS so you can understand the health and environmental effects these chemicals have on your body, family, water, soil, and air.

2) Make PFAS-free choices and see how some retailers score on toxicity.

3) Ask brands, companies, and manufacturers if they use PFAS, PTFE (Teflon), or flouro-chemicals in their products. Many will say that they have phased out PFOA/PFOS (two main PFAS), but that doesn’t mean they’re PFAS-free. With over 5000 PFAS chemicals on the market, you’re going to want to make 100% certain that their products are completely PFAS-free or Flourine-free. If they’re not, then it’s a great time to let them know you want PFAS-free products!
